Ascent from end of Beede Rd. to rocky ledges with blueberry potential and classic views of Keene Valley and the Great Range.

Blueberry Cobbles C 4.6 miles 1,400 ft

On the lower slopes of Bald Peak, these peaks offer views of the Dix Range and Boquet Valley plus acres of blueberries

Blueberry Mt. C 4.8 miles 2,000
Trailhead: K. V. Airport ATIS Car Needed? Yes 1 Way Drive Time: 10 min.
The steep climb makes this harder than the average "C" trip, but the views and blueberrying potential make it worthwhile.

Brothers C 3.5 miles 1,600 ft

These two rocky knobs are traditional favorites with their views of Keene Valley and the Great Range. Blueberry potential, too.

Catamount C 3.6 miles 1,500 ft

Long drive, short hike, great views and blueberries. Some steep scrambling makes this hard for a "C" hike.

Cathedral Rocks & Bear Run C 4.5 miles 700 ft

This nearby but often overlooked loop offers several views, an interesting scramble through Bear Run, and a waterfall or two.

Cobble Mt. C 2.5 miles 600 ft

A short bushwhack through open woods leads to a rocky knob with great views of the Ausable Valley.

Crows C 2.1 miles 1,200 ft

Little Crow and then Big Crow, both with good views. 1 mile side trip to view on Nun-da-gao Ridge possible.

Discovery Mt. C 2.5 miles 600 ft.

A beautiful little rocky knob with views of the High Peaks and the Champlain Valley.

Goodnow Mt. C 3.8 miles 1,040 ft

An easy hike to a still-maintained fire tower with great views. Swim in Rich Lake or trip to Visitor Center afterwards.

Indian Head & Fish Hawk Cliffs C 3.6 miles 900 ft.

Up via Gill Brook Trail to Fish Hawk Cliffs and then over toIndian Head and down to the Boathouse.

Little Porter C 3.6 miles 1,400 ft

This rocky lower peak of Porter has great views and some interest along the trail including a cliff-clinging house.

Lost Lookout & Beaver Meadow Falls C 2.4 miles 600 ft.

Up via Beaver Meadow Falls and over Lost Lookout to the Lake. Bring bathing suit for swim if there is time.

Mt. Jo C 2 miles 600 ft.

A short hike with one of the best views of the High Peaks anywhere. A swim at Heart Lake or Cascade Lake is possible.

Noonmark Burn Area C 4.5 miles 1,500 ft

Take bus to Leach Trail and hike to spectacular new views. Return with a walk down Lake Road.

Nubble C 3 miles 1, 100 ft

Ascend from Chapel Pond via Zander Scott Trail to Washbowl and Nubble. Return via Roaring Brook Falls and walk to Club.

Owl Head Lookout C 5.5 miles 1,200 ft

This is the first peak on the North Trail to Giant and is not to be confused with the similarly-named peak near Cascade.

Pitchoff Boulders C 3.2 miles 850 ft.
Trailhead:  Cascade Pass ATIS Car Needed? Yes 1 Way Drive Time: 20 min.
This is the first ledge on Pitchoff and offers both great views and a chance to explore secret passageways between the rocks.

Poke-o-Moonshine Mt. C 2.2 miles 1,280 ft

A short climb to a fire tower that is in the process of being restored. Great views even without the tower.

Rooster Comb C 5.7 miles 1,600 ft

Ascend from Keene Valley with return to the Club. Views of the Johns Brook valley and possibly blueberries await at the summit.

Great views along the way and from the summit of this less-visited "little brother" of Noonmark.

Sawteeth Scenic Trail - Outlook #4  C 2.4 miles 1,300 ft

By boat to west side of Lower Lake, then steep up to four outlooks.

Silver Lake Mt. C 1.8 miles 800 ft.

A long drive, but a fun climb with blueberries, views, and a chance to see peregrines that were reintroduced near here.

Tenderfoot Pools C 4.5 miles 400 ft.

A beautiful series of pools on Johns Brook with slides between the pools for great swimming.

Upper Boquet Pools C 2 miles 200 ft.

Always a popular trip, there is one deep pool and several slides for swimming.

Van Hoevenberg, Mt. C 3.8 miles 780 ft.

Ascent from South Meadow Rd. to a series of ledges with great views of the High Peaks. Descent possible via Bob/Luge runs.

W. A. White Ledges C 4 miles 1,500 ft

These first two ledges on the W.A. White Trail offer great views of the Ausable Club, Giant, and the Ausable Valley.

Weston Mt. C 5 miles 800 ft.

This small rocky knob above Lost Pond offers great views for the effort. Blueberries too, perhaps.
